Аннотация
The analysis of the long-term stability of the scattering properties of various types ofnatural covers was carried out using Japanese PALSAR-1 and PALSAR-2 spacebornesynthetic aperture radar observations. High stability of the reflective properties of the extendedobjects of the Antarctica and South America, comparable with stability of specialized artificialtargets, has been revealed. For that reason, distributed targets under discussion may beconsidered as suitable targets for spaceborne radars intercalibration and monitoring of their stability.
