Аннотация

The necessity of joint use of radar instruments and microwave radiometers in the study of the structure and composition of the interior of the Moon is substantiated. Radar allows you to study a layer of soil up to 3 km thick, but the upper thin layers will be transparent to this instrument. The radiometer makes it possible to study the upper layer up to 1-2 m thick. The combination of the results of measuring with two instruments allows obtaining more detailed information about the structure and dielectric properties of the soil. The placement of instruments on board the orbital space module provides a fast and large-scale study of the space body. The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of the problem. The thickness of the thermal insulation ground layer, frequency of the radio waves; thickness and density of the regolith; the temperature on the surface of the Moon are taken into account for simulation. The proposed method can be used to study the soils of Mars and the Earth in dry desert regions.
