Аннотация

The geo-ecosystems of the lakes play an im-portant role in their wider geographical areas, such asenergy and biological resources, as well as watersources for agriculture, industry, and drinking water.The main goal of the present paper is to develop a newapproach to the effective monitoring of lakes waterquality. Three new optical decision-making systems(ODMS) are being set up first as components of thisnew monitoring system. The first ODMS is based on an8-channel universal spectrophotometer. The second in-volves a 35-channel spectrophotometer to diagnose wa-ter sampling and the third includes a 128-channelspectroellipsometer. All versions of ODMS include spe-cial software that incorporates algorithms and models tosolve optical inverse tasks and decision making aboutthe quality of lakes water. ODMS provides a spectralimage of the water quality of the lakes in wavelengthsranging between 350 and 910 nm depending on theoptical device. The recognition of spectral images gen-erated by ODMS allows the detection of adverse chang-es in wate r quality and the decision-making on thechoice of strategy to deal with this change. In particular,a case study of Lake Sevan in Armenia is being con-ducted for the ODMS demonstration, and the results ofthe lakes water diagnosis are being discussed. Th eODMS estimate for water quality error does not exceed18%, while the forecast for water quality for 1 monthincludes an error not exceeding 10% and 20% for 1 year.
