Detonation nanodiamond has been covered by Fe-, Co-, Ni-, Zn-, and Ce-containing nanoparticles prepared via thermal destruction of metal-containing compounds. Composites comprised of the nanodiamonds covered by Fe- and Co-containing nanoparticles embedded within low density polyethylene matrix have been produced. The morphology, size distribution, and composition of the metal nanoparticles as well as magnetic properties of Fe-, Co-, and Ni-containing composites and electric properties of polyethylene-based cOlI1losites have been studied.
